Dual Enrollment (DE) is a locally administered program that allows high school students to concurrently enroll in college courses and receive both high school and college credits for that coursework.
It is run through a partnership between a school district and an eligible postsecondary institution. High school students must meet eligibility requirements as set by the school district and the participating postsecondary institution.
BC3's Dual Enrollment (DE) program, started in the spring of 2006, has been set up in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Education's (PDE) Dual Enrollment Grant Program.
DE grants help cover students' tuition, books, fees, and transportation.
Courses offered through DE must be in a core academic subject including:
Classes are scheduled in area high schools before/after the school day, in the evening, or on a Saturday OR are available via the Internet.

To register for a DE class, students should check with their high school to see if they are participating in the Dual Enrollment program.
